Martin Faure
Martin Faure places nature at the heart of his dreamlike, poetic and contemplative landscape paintings. Born in Paris in 1991, and graduating from the Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2018, he has created a world of his own, woven from travels and residences, lights and visions, all of which contribute to his pictorial imagination. Scotland was no stranger to him, and for Inverness, he reinvented a mineral and vegetal territory: "Inverness, these letters pronounced in a breath evoke vast territories that intoxicated me as I surveyed the paths of this breathtaking landscape caught in cottony mist. A suspended time where the atmosphere is a stage set, a whisper in contemplation. The sap of the trees exalts intense scents, while a pure wave trickles over a rock that could be the ruin of a palace entwined by so many years in this mythological landscape...".
