Dear Aliénor,

I dreamed of Moby Dick and it was not a nightmare to meet that mythical whale. It was kind and friendly, as I was unarmed. As pacific as the Ocean, its home. For once, I left the land to explore the majesty of the sea and discovered the most imposing animal. It’s strange how immoderation can take over at night. For this whale and for the ocean, I would like a perfume excessive too. A perfume like a quest, an epic, a sailor’s tale, who would have seen the beast coming from the depths, sharing its path, for a everlasting souvenir, made of silk, skin, immensity and fullness. Its body is a surprise. So big and yet, it slips on the water. Its skin looks like the most agile and swift leather. I’ve thought of its ivory, its amber, the oil it secretes and therefore I wish for the most noble ingredients, precious essences. I’ve seen its jet of water vapor, its intensity in the blue vastness. I imagine it in a bottle.
Best, Clara
